Angela Bassett is now the latest talent to join the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the upcoming project is already being dubbed the “blackest Marvel movie ever.”

Bassett will play Ramonda, mother of T’Challa, aka Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman. Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Florence Kasumba are some of the many actors in Black Panther’s star-studded cast.

The film hits theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.
