RIS/RYN design duo Charity Harris and Taryn Andre declare that “Punks Not Dead” with their latest, Spring/Summer 2015 Collection. Titled “Organic Punk” the collection, which combines a classic punk influence with the Japanese sewing textiles technique Boro, features organic fabrics and and handwrought details. Boro is term that describes fabrics that are ripped and manipulated by hand before being sewn together. The technique is often used on bedding.

According to designers,

Organic Punk is about women returning to the root of who they really are. It is about the woman reassessing and reconstructing their sense of self while taking the initiative to live by her own rules, and doing what empowers her as an individual. It is this kind of progressive and forward thinking that we wanted to display within each piece of collection.
