Created in 2011 by actress Rosario Dawson, and luxury fashion marketing specialist Abrima Erwiah, Studio One Eighty Nine is a stylish, vibrant, clothing brand created with the goal of bringing about social change through ethical fashion. The brand functions as a platform to celebrate artists, activists, and creators from all over Africa and the diaspora. Studio One Eighty Nine was selected as a rising African brand by Design Indaba as part of the “Africa is Now” Exhibit, and has also featured in Italian Vogue, WWD, and Style.com.

Studio One Eighty Nine’s Spring 2015 collection was inspired by the both the beaches and jungles, with the fabrics sourced from the nation of Mali and woven totes and baskets made in Ghana.
