Vintage Black Glamour started out as tumblr blog just three years ago, and now it’s going print. The site was started by writer Nichelle Gainer, who began collecting the glamorous images she came across while researching black beauty pageants. The images quickly spread like wildfire after she compiled them onto a tumblr and the blog’s popularity grew immensely, culminating in the upcoming release of a set of coffee table books with the same name. With images from the 1900’s to the 1980’s featuring everyone from Lena Horne to Dorothy Dandridge, Vintage Black Glamour is truly a feast for the eyes. The book hits shelves this fall, pre-order it today.
