Gabourey Sidibe Wasn’t Too Keen On Being Called ‘Gabby.’ She’s Also Waiting For that Beyoncé Album to Drop. Just Like the Rest of Us.

Gabourey Sidibe

Actress Gabourey Sidibe is the latest celebrity to try her hand at Us Magazine’s “25 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” feature.

While the EMPIRE star has always been pretty candid in interviews, she shared a few gems that even hardcore fans might have missed. Apparently Sidibe isn’t too sweet on being called Gabby, especially not by family members.

I hated the nickname “Gabby” until I was around 13. Then I gave up — but my family still isn’t allowed to call me that.

She’s also a card carrying member of the Beyhive.

I live every waking moment in fear that Beyoncé will release an album while I’m asleep or on a long flight.

Sidibe, who also teases her sense of humor, features in the Sasha Baron Cohen led comedy The Brothers Grimsby, which opened in theaters earlier this month. She returns to primetime this Wednesday in EMPIRE, after the show’s long mid season break. Her role on the show has led to speculation that we won’t be seeing her on any future seasons of American Horror Story, but of course, anything is possible.
