●   learn from other people: classmates just as lecturers are usually a rich source of information, so there is no point in neglecting them. You should listen carefully to what they say and bring your perspective into the discussion, this will encourage faster development of the whole class and you in particular.

Being a student is an extremely enriching experience when you take the utmost of it. In the recent times studying hard has been replaced by studying efficiently. So there is no need to stay in the library from dusk till dawn, you should simply plan your time and use one of the strategies for effective students discussed below.

The first strategy is to study a little at a time and often. The university calendar is structured so that learning happens for a set number of weeks followed by a main assessment or exam. That is why many students tend to enjoy their life right until the beginning of an exam period when life turns into hell with burning deadlines and sleepless nights.

In contrast, the body of research on learning and memory tells us that the most effective studying would happen in small regular batches throughout the semester. Students should learn the information early on and then use the final run-up to the exam only for review and revision. The second strategy suggests that you should engage in the active study instead of continuously focusing on passive study. Instead of reading all the time, one may also try to do something active in his or her study process.
