Issa Rae will host this year’s CFDA Awards, an annual event that “honors the best and brightest in American design.”

Rae is the first woman to host the awards since Tracey Ullman in 2009. This year also marks the first time the awards will be taking place in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Museum to be exact.

“Issa Rae is leading a new generation of performers who use their voice and humor to discuss social topics in a way that is relatable and poignant,” said Steven Kolb, CFDA’s president and CEO, in a statement. ““We are also excited to take the awards to Brooklyn this year. The Brooklyn Museum is a strong and iconic backdrop to one of fashion’s biggest nights.”

The big event takes place on June 4.
