Rachel Jeantel Admits To Feelings of Guilt Over Trial Outcome.

Rachel Jeantel

As a key witness in one of the most frustrating, depressing and racially-charged trials in recent history, Rachel Jeantel was also on trial.

Her speech, appearance and “attitude” were heavily discussed and mocked on all forms of media, causing the young woman who was dealing with both the loss of a friend and public scrutiny to suffer from PTSD.

One year after the acquittal, Jeantel is working to move past the painful ordeal, she has received counseling, and will be entering college in the fall after working with a tutor. In a recent interview with CNN, Rachel Jeantel also admits she that blames herself “a little bit” for the outcome of the trial and that if she had the opportunity to act as a witness again, she would have acted differently.
