The Kendo division of LVMH (Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton) has inked a $10 million deal with Rihanna to do a complete makeup collection.

Rumors have been circulating about Rihanna’s impending fashion empire since last year. So far the popstar has graced us with a fashion line, a fragrance, and several hints that there’s definitely more to come.

Back in May of 2015, news dropped that Rihanna was locked in a legal battle over the use of Robyn, her real name. The name was being trademarked to with the intention of using it to publish “online non-downloadable general feature magazines.”

There were also rumors that she would be putting her music career on hold altogether to focus on her fashion endeavours. That aspect of the rumor turned out to be false with the release of her album and her new tour.

Since then Rihanna has linked up with Puma, and starred in a series of ads for Dior, released a sock collection, launched a creative agency, and dropped a new fragrance.

Last fall she teased a makeup line, it turns out that the news was even bigger than expected.

According to WWD,

Kendo, which functions as an incubator producing products that end up being retailed by LVMH’s Sephora perfumery chain and other outposts, will launch a Rihanna makeup range, called Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, in the fall of 2017.

Of course this isn’t Rihanna’s first foray with the world of cosmetics. In 2013 she collaborated with MAC and her signature color flying off the shelves.
