Rumor has it the Barbados-born popstar might be playing the legendary performer. The possibility of Rihanna playing Josephine Baker might give some pause but I think she’s a great choice. Aside from her beauty and presence, I think the role would give Rihanna a chance to really refine her acting skills and show her fans a new side of her talents. While Josephine Baker is best known for her iconic images, she was much more than a pretty lady in a banana skirt. From cavorting with royalty to raising her “rainbow family’ her tumultuous and extravagant lifestyle could definitely give Rihanna a run for her money. Here’s to hoping there’s a bit of truth to the rumor, this could be pretty interesting.
