Target Announces A Stylish New Plus-Size Fashion Line.

AVA & VIV, Plus Size Fashion, Target

Last August, fashion blogger Chastity Garner took Target to task, in an open letter, for the lack of plus size options in the retail giants latest fashion collaboration with one-to-watch designer Altuzarra, urging plus-size shoppers to boycott the brand. A rep for Target responded, stating that the brand would be “introducing a new plus line in the near future that features a focus on the latest styles, all at great prices.”

But when Target caused another debate over the availability of plus-size options for their 2015 collaboration with resort wear brand Lily Pulitzer, many buyers wondered if Target was actually going to make good on their promise. As it turns out, the affordable retailer has kept it’s word.

Target recently announced the launch of their newest plus-size fashion line, AVA & VIV. The brand, which will be updated monthly offers chic, modern pieces ranging from $10 to $79.99.

Chastity Garner, along with fellow fashion bloggers Nicolette Mason and Gabi Gregg were invited by Target to the brand’s headquarters in Minnesota to try out the pieces.

AVA & VIV hits Target stores mid-February through March. The brand will also be available online at Target.com on February 22nd.
