In “Pull Tag Knot” British filmmaker Ayesha Ramsay delivers a short piece that illustrates the years of struggle and trauma that many black women experience when trying to accept and love their natural hair.

The short film was recently featured as part of UK’s Channel 4 “Random Acts” program, which features a collection of bold, innovative works from emerging young filmmakers. “Pull Tag Knot” stars actor and writer Sophia Leonie.
