Jean-Claude Moschetti is a French photographer who has takes intimate and informative fine art images of many slices of life in many African countries. His series “Volta Noire” captures ritual masks from Burkina Faso. These masks are much more than decoration or costume, for their wearers and those who celebrate them, they are a connection to ancestors and a celebration of lives lived past and present.
