Solange has always been willing to push the envelope and experiment when it comes to fashion.
Style played a major part in the accompanying visuals for her critically-acclaimed work A Seat at the Table. Solange crafted custom looks and enlisted several indie designers and artists to create the unique pieces that she and her models wore in both the still images and music videos for A Seat at the Table.

Dresses from Jaimee McKenna
These blue dresses come via U.K.-based knitwear designer Jaimee McKenna’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Solange actually teased one of the looks way back in May as a possible Met Gala option.

This jacket by artist and textile designer Nadine Goepfert looks like it’s a new take on the common “puffy” coats seen every winter in colder parts of the world. The look was actually created from memory foam.

L.A.-based indie designer Phlemuns has worked with Solange in the past. He’s also dressed Justine Skye and Miley Cyrus. Solange’s shoe designer, LOQ, is also L.A.-based.
