Beauty Tips. Bake it ’til You Make It for Perfect Under Eye Concealer.

Make-up Baking

Have you heard of “baking?” Baking aka “Cooking” is the hot new make-up application method that’s perfect for those of us who deal with darkness or discoloration in the under eye area.

While the term isn’t new, it was popularized years ago among drag queens and ballroom performers, it’s definitely having a moment on social media. Basically, it works by allowing multiple products to “cook” after being applied to the face at the same time. The end result is smooth, flawless coverage.

Here’s how it’s done:

Step 1: Apply Your Foundation.
Step 2: Using a sponge applicator, put a thick coat of lighter powder in the area you want to cover up.
Step 3. Leave the powder on the skin for about 20 minutes.
Step 4. Carefully sweep the powder away with your make-up brush.

This method is ideal for any situation that you’ll find yourself being filmed or photographed or sitting under bright lights. It’s probably not ideal for everyday wear and like most things, practice makes perfect. check out this baking tutorial by Karina of Curls N Lipstick.
