Bernie Sanders Press Secretary Symone Sanders Leaves Campaign.

Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign took another hit earlier this week, with the departure of press secretary Symone Sanders. Sanders revealed her decision to leave the Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign exclusively to Fusion.

“I just believe my time with the campaign has come to an end,” Sanders later told CNN. “I’m very proud of the work we have done and am now looking forward to helping elect down-ballot Democrats and do all I can to ensure a Democrat is the 45th president of the United States.”

Sanders, who is not related to the presidential candidate, is a Utah native and a graduate of Creighton University, with an impressive background working in communications for various social justice organizations. She was named press secretary for Bernie Sanders in August of 2015.

Many take her decision to leave the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign as an indication that the Vermont senator will be dropping out of the race sometime soon.
