Lupita Nyong’o Goes Global with Glamour Magazine.

Lupita Nyong’o steals the global spotlight as she stars on the cover of four international editions of Glamour Magazine simultaneously.

This latest series of cover features drops just weeks after Nyong’o made a surprise return to the red carpet. Nyong’o has always been rather deliberate and discerning about the roles she takes since her Oscar-winning debut over a decade go. She is set to star in the upcoming film A Quiet Place: Day One. While the exact plot is still under wraps, the Michael Sarnoski-feature will serve as spin-off prequel to critically-acclaimed A Quiet Place film series.

Shot by Adrienne Raquel, and styled by Rachael Wang, Nyong’o wears a series of looks by Hermes, Balenciaga, Sergio Hudson, and more. Hair by Vernon François and makeup by Nick Barose complete the looks.

Speaking to Glamour’s Ariana Yaptangco, Nyong’o also revealed what she considers to be one of the more challenging aspects of fame:

However, she isn’t afraid to admit there are things she finds irritating about her position. When I ask her to specify, she searches for the right words before answering me bluntly.

“Interviews,” she says, and I burst out laughing.

“You asked,” she adds with a shrug. “I have to be honest. I’m going to tell you.”

She clarifies that she doesn’t mean all interviews. She finds press junkets to be a “torture technique,” where “different people are being ferried in” to ask the same questions. “You have to give each one of them attention, focus, and an articulate answer that you just gave to the person before,” she says. “That’s irritating.”
