Patrice Banks went viral earlier this year, when news of her Philadelphia-area, woman-centered auto repair shop spread like wildfire. In addition to offering repair services, Banks also holds monthly workshops aimed at teaching women basic car care and understanding their car repair needs.
Banks, a self-proclaimed “she-canic” and former “auto-airhead” is making headlines again, after expanding her business to include a full service beauty bar. A former engineer, who has been working in the auto repair industry since enrolling in a training program in 2011, she unveiled her shop’s beauty bar earlier this month. Now instead of waiting by the water cooler, Banks’ customers can get a mani-pedi.
The Clutch Beauty Bar, officially opens on November 25th, but the shop is taking appointments ahead of time. For more information visit GirlsAutoClinic.com.
