An upcoming special will turn the spotlight onto Michelle Obama, who put her own unique energy into her role as First Lady. Obama has agreed to grant her final interview as First Lady to Oprah. The media mogul and talk show host was a huge supporter of Barack Obama early on in his political career and continues to be a close friend to the Obama family.
“First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House — An Oprah Winfrey Special,” will air CBS on December 19 at 8/7c. OWN will air the special a second time on December 21 at 9/8c.
According to Variety, the special will cover “life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and her eight years as First Lady of the United States, the legacy she’ll leave behind, and her plans for the future.”
