Watch This. Toronto Artists of Color Share Their Perspectives in ‘Out Here.’

Timaaj Hassen

Brought to you by black filmmaker Lu Asfaha, Out Here is a new web series that highlights the perspectives of artists of color who live and work in Toronto.

In the first episode of the series, we meet spoken word artist Timaaj Hassen, who talks about finding your voice, dealing with writer’s block, taking criticism, taking care of yourself in a corrupt society, fears and hopes for the future. Hassen also artfully blends her craft into the interview.

New episodes of Out Here will premiere on the next 3 Mondays. Follow the creator on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram.
