Rest in Peace Juanita Moore. Goodbye to an icon and a legend.

Juanita Moore, Imitation of Life

Juanita Moore is likely best known for her role as “Annie” in the Douglas Sirk film “Imitation of Life”. She passed away yesterday at the age of 99, leaving behind an indelible legacy. A former chorus girl at Harlem’s Cotton Club, Juanita Moore went on to have an acting career that spanned six decades. She broke barriers for women of color in Hollywood. She inspired black girls and boys to dream big. She was also a true thespian until the very end.
