Following the success of her clothing and fragrance lines, as well as her past collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, Nicki Minaj is going digital. The skilled rapper and pop star is teaming up with developer Glu to create an original game that will feature Minaj’s name, likeness, and voice. She’ll also be lending her skills as a creative director to the project.
Niccolo de Masi, Glu chairman and CEO, said in a statement about the upcoming project,
I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, to Glu’s growing list of celebrity partners. Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million social followers and a new music category. We look forward to combining Nicki’s distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu’s celebrity social gaming expertise.
The new project will be a great opportunity to capitalize on Minaj’s massive social media following across platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The Nicki Minaj game will be dropping sometime next summer.
